Maple Grove Eye Clinic and Opticians has been serving the northwest suburbs for over 35 years.
 
Our practice is located at 7880 Main Street in Maple Grove. We pride ourselves in providing the public with the type of care not found at large, impersonal clinics, and optical chain stores.

Our office provides extensive service and addresses many eye conditions people face throughout their lives. Common vision problems of nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, etc., receive the same attention to detail as other more serious eye problems. The comprehensive eye exams performed at the clinic test for all current and potential future problems the patient may face.

One area where technology has been rapidly changing is in contact lenses. The clinic offers the new, more comfortable and healthier contact lenses. The wide variety of contact lenses now available includes both soft disposable and advanced oxygen permeable rigid lenses. Now patients can purchase soft contact lens and oxygen permeable lens for up to 30 days' continuous wear. The clinic also offers toric lenses that correct astigmatism and tinted lenses that change or enhance the color of the eye.

The clinic is also heavily involved in LASIK corrective surgery. With new technology, almost everybody with healthy eyes now can have this procedure done safely and painlessly. The clinic has close ties with West Metro Opthamology, providers of refractive surgical services.

In addition, the clinic is involved in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, diabetic eye problems, cataracts, and age-related macular degeneration. We also treat eye infections and injuries. With the aging population, effective treatment of dry eye is becoming more of an issue and new and more effective ways of addressing the problems are being introduced.

The Opticians have over 1,000 frames from which to choose. Many frame lines can not be found anywhere else in the west metro area. An extensive collection of sun-wear, including Maui Jim and Oakley, are available in our sunglass showroom, Shades on Main.

The eye clinic accepts all credit cards and are providers for many third party plans, such as Vision Service Plan, Medica, Preferred-One, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and Medicare.
